Product Description
The design of the YGG series offers a low profile,high load capacity,and high rigidity.It also features an equal loadrating in all four directions and self-aligning capability to absorb installation-error,allowing for higher accuracies.Additionally,the lower assembly height and the shorter length make the RG series more suitable for high-speed,automation machines and applications where space is limited.
The retainer is designed to hold the balls in the block even when it is removed from the rail.
YGG Series-High Rigidity Roller Type Linear Guideway
The new YGG series from Hiwin features a roller as the rolling element instead of steel balls.The roller series offerssuper high rigidity and very high load capacities.The RG series is designed with a 45-degree angle of contact.Elasticdeformation of the linear contact surface,during load,is greally reduced thereby offering greater rigidity and higherload capacities in all 4 load directions.The YGG series linear guideway offers high performance for high-precisionmanufacturing and achieving longer service life.

FEM analysis was performed to determinethe optimal structure of the block and therail.The unique design of the circulation pathallows the RG series linear guideway to offersmoother linear motion.
(2)Super high rigidity
The RG seriesis a type of linear guideway that uses rollers asthe rolling elements.Rollers have a greater contact area thanballs so that the roller guideway features higher load capacityand greater rigidity.The figure shows the rigidity of a rollerand a ball with equal volume.
(3)Super high load capacity
With the four rows of rollers arranged at a contact angle of45-degrees,the RG series linear guideway has equal loadratings in the radial,reverse radial and lateral directions.TheRG series has a higher load capacity in a smaller size thanconventional,ball-type linear guideways.

Compare with the ball element,the contact pressure ofrolling element is distributed on the line region.Therefore,stress concentration was reduced siginificantly and the RGseries offers longer running life.The nominal life of RG seriescan be calculated by using Eq.
